You've got 'Disco Inferno' on there twice, but that's okay - it's a cool tune. I love playing disco - many of these tunes have incredible bass lines and there's no doubting the responsibility of the bassist in anchoring the groove. I played seven or eight of the tunes on your list on 12/31, and a few more were in reserve. Great stuff.

All these currently in our set, and I'm toying with writing some of the others as charts for the band in the near future - probably Funking For Jamaica, I Should Have Loved Ya or one of the Bee Gees numbers.

Come to think of it, I should probably finish off the arrangement I started of "Spacer" by Sheila B Devotion first, another great disco tune. My New Year's Resolution should be to start less arrangements and finish more of them.

Good list. I would add "Good Times" by Chic.

You're right - a lot of these wouldn't be considered disco ("I Can't Wait" by Nu Shooz?). Good list, though. Nice to see you've included one of my favourites (I played it last night in my DJ set): "Keep The Fire Burning" by Gwen McCRae. What a great bass line!

Maybe not all of these are "great" songs, but anyway I'd add them to the list since I enjoyed them a lot in my early teens, when Disco was at its peak:

- Da Ya Think I'm Sexy? - Rod Stewart
- Ring My Bell - Anita Ward
- Heart Of Glass - Blondie
- Catch The Cat - Cherry Laine
- Souvenirs - Voyage
- Rasputin - Boney M. (The whole "Nightflight To Venus" album is a classic)
- I Will Survive - Gloria Gaynor
- Thank God It's Friday - Love And Kisses
- Hot Stuff - Donna Summer
- Bad Girls - Donna Summer
- Our Love - Donna Summer
- Y.M.C.A. - Village People (Yes, I know its connotation, but it's just a cool Disco hit to me)
- Born To Be Alive - Patrick Hernández
- Funkytown - Lipps Inc.
- Magic Fly - Space (What a corny video!)
- Knock On Wood - Amii Stewart

EDIT: Added

- Honorable Puff Puff - The Shadows (Released before the Disco craze, but heard on TV lots of times during late seventies in my country)
- Pop Muzik - M
