My Favorite Mark King Bass Solo

My favorite Mark King solo has always been the one from "Guaranteed Live". I only had it on a bad VHS copy, but I just found it on YouTube.

You have to admit, despite the fact that this solo is highly indulgent technically, he keeps it melodic and adds some value...

Now that is cool solo, I've been looking to see this one forever! They need to bring that show out on DVD. And I may have been the only one to notice this, but the first 30 seconds of that solo sounded very much like what Shawn Lane would have based the outro solo from the Jonas Hellborg song "Rice with the angels" as he started the song "Abstract logic". I also noticed Mark doing a very bluesy move nearly identical to a one Shawn has used a few times. Amazing stuff!

My favourite Mark King solo is the one he did during Love Games when I saw them live, but I had to pick a recorded solo it would be the one from Ohne Filter. The tone wasn't the best, but it was a brilliant solo all the same.

Nice Jamming. Seems to really enjoy himself too

His Status sounds great, even off a camcorder.
