I think the S&M project brought that song to another level , I think that song could be one of Metallica's most beautiful songs.

Indeed, I never though I'd hear James Hetfield doing "touching"!

However, I'm often on the receiving end of a bit of stick. I like metal as much as the next guy, and yes, MOP and RTL are amazing albums...but Load and Reload are my faves from Metallica.

Oh, and I like Saint Anger!

Metallica is awesome

I am in total agreement with you guys on the Load and Reload albums. I stuck with Metallica through the B.S. from the people who said they sold out, napster, and Jason leaving...

But, I can't get into St. Anger. There are a few good songs on there, but I miss the solos and James' singing is just not what I expected. I know, everyone is allowed to change, so I'm not bashing them for that, but it's not my cup of tea. Hell, I don't even like tea!

I saw the boys and Godsmack together in 2004 and that was show I will never forget.

I think HOTD is one of Metallica's greatest songs ever. Near the peak of the maturity in the music that I loved so much. S&M was the peak as far as I'm concerned as far as maturity.

They went primitive after Jason left.

You know I really do miss not having Jason in Metallica, he really was the one that made Metallica so special for me. Give it time and see what they come up with next , they just might suprise as all. Tim did you like Saint Anger ?

Jason was always my favourite member of Metallica. He was my first "big influence" as a player. God, he was awesome.

I love The House That Jack Built.

Other than that I'm definitely more old school, Ride the Lightning being my favorite.
