My first bass comp.....

It's intentionally ambient, so don't expect me to be rockin' out or anything.....

There's two glaring mistakes in it, but I was doing this for fun so I didn't feel the need to clean them up.

How's the tone?

Other comments?

Cheers.

P.S. - it's 100% done on a bass.....

First 45 seconds were great. However, it became a bit monotonous after that.

Sometimes I agree, but others I like the monotony. I had an idea in my head earlier today, but I lost it. I'll just have to wait until something else comes along. I'd like to build it into a 4 to 5 minute soundscape, but until some more ideas come along I'll consider this a work in progress.

Thanks for the compliment though.

well, although ambient music does become a bit monotonous, even a slow solo would open up the compostion imo

I think I'll ask a friend to lay some ambient melody over it.....just to see where he takes it.

There's a reason I gave up on being a lead guitarist....I suck ass at phrasing.
