Here are the mixed tracks from my group's first recording experience. I'm using a stock SX 5-string fretless J (Emily, Pride and Shame) and a 5 string Peavey Milestone. Both inexpensive basses performed admirably.
I was recorded direct through a Behringer BDI-21 and on some tracks (Emily for instance) I used a Zoom B1-x
If I had to classify the genre, I'd say it was Folk/Pop. Enjoy:
