My new band HEAP

Sign in to disble this ad
Hey All,
I just wanted to let you know I have put up a tune by my new band, HEAP. This project is a true labor of love. I have been lucky to play with some amazing musicians but this is the first time doing my own thing. This is also the first band I have been with to have 2 bass players and no guitarist. The tune on myspace only has one bass part (I am actually switching back & forth between bass and sax). I used my Rob/Wave custom EUB. I am playing all the parts except the drums which is played by my good friend and drummer of almost 20 years, Ian Werden. I would love to know what my fellow bassist think. Please check it out and I welcome your comments

I look forward to your feedback

Thanks

thanks for checking it out. I happily wear my influences on my sleeve! I met Mark Sandman a week before he died.

H.E.A.P.

Hello All,
I just wanted to repost this because we have finally finished the recording. We added a percussion track and a sax solo. I would love to hear what you think

I too like this... Bookmarked your myspace and downloaded your track.

Good stuff.

Thanks!

Thank you fot the kind words. This band has been in the planning stage for over 3 years. It all started when I was talking to one of my favorite bass players here in Athens, GA, Jeff Rieter about how we should start a band with 2 bass players. The recording on the myspace page has only one bass (I am playing my custom 42" EUB built by Rob/Wave http://www.robwave.com ) but I generally play either my Washburn AB20 acoustic or my Univox 'Lectra (strung A-D-G-C) through my bassman guitar amp. It is really nice to not hav a guitar player. Also absent from that recording is our electric kalimba player. Hopefully we will have some more recordings to share in the near future.
