Well the night before the jury of my phd I was absolutely depressed. So I have bottle of scotch and my bass as a medicine...

Here is what happened:

You don't sound depressed. Maybe it's the scotch talking.

Are writing your thesis on New Order?

I really liked the song by the way (listening to it several times in a row, now).
What's your setup?

well to say at least I was depressed when I began to play may bass. But after a half bottle of scotch I was not really clear about my feelings... This is what every time happens in my nervous times...

May I ask what bass / pedals / audio interface / DAW you're using?

And also I was not impressed of New order but the Cure. I really like the way that British bands play and German bands like Manovar.

I have no special set up. I have a DI box, a PCI bad sound card which I hope one day buy a better. All is about cubase. I use the dynamics, quadrofuzz, reverb and eq of the program. On the eq I boost on lows and highs. But I guess fine control depends on the equipment you use. It is a matter of trying and I haven't done my best yet.

New Order = British.

Or am I misunderstanding something?

Foq1978 yes you are right. But not knowing new order is british may be the proof of how much I am away from that band, right? And finially what I care is what I want to play. I think bass is something like Romeo, a man with a huge heart.

And also a bit of a suicidal kid, huh?

Take care!
