One thing I forgot to mention is that there are 2 specific "odes" to Immortal. Any guesses? |

Maybe I would have dug it more with real drums/guitar, but it couldn't hold my interest.

The fake drums and fake guitar offer very little content, so it's like... well, it's exactly listening to you play 2 riffs along with a very minimal midi track.
Good riffs, but I would just need more content if this were something I'd plan on listening to regularly. Let me guess, the west coast of Canada doesn't have a doom scene, right? If you could find a band, that would help you a lot. I've got a stoner rock type band going now and I think we work together really well, they came from a punky/hardcore scene. They have a more structured style than I do, I can write some slick riffs, but I can't make them flow into a song. Collaborating with my new band is helping me tremendously. I say, seek more influence, even if you can't find it locally. Listen to your favorite bands/songs and figure out why they work as well as they do and totally rip them off. I've been doing it for years, and look where it got me!... nowhere.
Keep at it, the world needs more people who think sideways.

I like what I hear.
