A couple weeks ago I posted about my post-rock band's free live cd. This time i'm offering up my primary project's (Stinkfoot) pro 5 song recording. We recorded this in St Louis, had it mastered, had artwork, paid discmakers to print 1000 copies, etc. We spent a ton of time and money putting this together.
But the reality is that it's hard to get unknown people interested in buying cds from a band they haven't heard. We did ok selling 5-10 cds at shows but slowly realized that in order to get the word out we needed to offer it up for free.
We've also been doing old fashioned handouts of the disc after big rock shows in town with a good response.
Let me know what you think of the tracks! I played a MIM Fender P through a sansamp on these recordings.
