Ive been looking through this these forums and this seems to be the only place anyone can give self-promotion without being flamed, which is understandable. Here is some of my bass work, Id like some feedback if one wants to give it. I would appreciate any feedback, constructive or otherwise. =D

I love Melody and its fun to imagine what vocal will go with a solo type song like yours. It sounds nice would like to hear the lower notes more pronounced, like your getting into the tune but not to the point its distorted. I have to keep reminding myself not to sound mono-tone and give the bass playing some variation in tone and texture.

Thanks for the critique!

My gear is as follows:

The song on my profile I played my Ibanez GSR 200, tuned in standard. Every other song I play, I use my 5 string ESP LTD B-55. My tuning for that is:
C#
F#
B
E
A

I have 2 amps, a Behringer Ultrabass 410 combo, and a mesa full stack which my band gave me for my birthday 2 days ago, Im not sure all the specs of it, or what its called, but its a Mesa head with an Ampeg 2x10, and another Ampeg 15''.

I just sold my GSR200...I didn't use mine very much but it was a nice bass. The Mesa and Ampeg must sound nice...I might score for a 2X10 Ampeg to go with my Markbass 2X10 combo

I play my 5 string really weird though... I use regular gauge strings and play it as though it were a 4 string with a high A instead of a low B. And I use it for my metal stuff on occasion too, since we play in drop B, I just tune down from C# to B and im there, with an extra string, woo! lol

I guess that is why I never yearn for a 5 string...I never tune down or play heavy metal...
