Some recent studio work ...

I've been doing some bass and guitar tracks for an artist who has given me permission to post one of his songs:

SoundClick artist: Justin D - page with MP3 music downloads

(Although I've tracked some guitar parts for some of his other songs, I played bass only on this track. He did all of guitar and keyboard parts.)

Enjoy!

I can see this got a lot of attention!

Anyone want to take a guess at the bass player who influenced my bass part at the bridge (about 2:35)?

First impression (just started listening) Dear Prudence (Beatles) meets the boxer (by Simon and Garfunkel), very cool and great production, I can't really hear the bass though on my laptop, but it sounds great! The bridge is total pink floyd! That's my take! Sorry I can't hear the bass well enough to make any real comments on it, but the entire track sounds great!

Thanks! You pretty much nailed three of the songwriter's biggest influences, especially Pink Floyd. He is primarily a keyboardist and played B3 and Fender Rhodes for a number of years with a blues-rock band before settling down and having a family, and you can definitely hear Rick Wright's influence in his work. I'm a big fan of the same groups, so working on this material has been a lot of fun.
