on my way towards groovin'?

Hey i'm new to the whole..slap groovin' scene...so i made up a skelatal structure for some sort of groove that i hope will form into a full groove...but am i on the right track?

picture a RHCP rockin' drum beat behind this =P

i started slapping mayb last year when i was 14 so its not THAT great in terms of technique i suppose (my ryhtms are somehwat limited for this riff)...i heard some crazy stuff on the internet

Cool stuff, especially if you're only 15. Try to practice Aeroplane by RHCP, the slap part is alot of fun

i tried to learn aeroplane (not by tabs..of course!) but the bass dips down on a certain part in my recording...i'll have to play with the eq on my ipod a bit
