He and Lamonte Johnson were probably on top of the heap of funk bassists back in the day. This is some really accomplished playing on this cut!
On a different note, check out the guitar playing! I'd love to have a guitarist like that in my band!

I only found out who it was about 4 years ago. An amazing player, for sure! |
