Need Bassline Ideas (pop-punk)

Sign in to disble this ad
"So Far Gone", I'm looking for bassline ideas to spice it up for when we play shows.

http://www.myspace.com/belltowerdreams

This was originally a hired session so the recording is uber-simple... but ever since I fell in love with this band and joined, they give me the freedom to mess around.

anything general to specific is appreciated

Thanks :P

Well Alkaline Trio is listed in the myspace friends top bands or whatever...

As bad as that band has become in the last few years go listen to Goddammit. All Dan does is noodle, and it's excellent.

Very cool sounding band.

Face to Face? Rancid? Or you can look up Dynamite Boy (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JvSXd...layer_embedded now a defunct Austin based band). Your band reminds me of another (defunct) Austin band, Crusierweight, esp with the female vocals. Look em up!

You're right about Cruiserweight!

Turns out I'm not a huge fan of Alkaline Trio, but I ganked a couple from a couple songs there... Thanks guys, time to go to work XD

get a pick, a rickenbacker and a sex pistols album. I am sure you'll get some inspiration out of that
