need help finding a good bass solo

For jazz band I'm given a bass solo, I wrote a solo but its very ameture. My conductor told me to copy someone else's solo. What are some not too hard electric funk bass solos to look at and try out?

is it a solo in the middle of a song, or is it a seperate solo section?

If it's the first one, it would probably be hard to fit someone elses into the song.

Not really if you just change the key...

Well there are two big big solos that are like 20 measures long, and there are two smaller ones, but he says I can basicly drag it out for as long as I would like, just not too long somewhere between 8-12 measures I think. So its not the main solo just a showy look what my musicians can do before we repeat back to the begining and do everything again deally.

Yes, but even then a solo from a different song might not fit the "feel" of the one he's playing
