Need help micing a grand piano

Sign in to disble this ad
I'm looking for a double mic clip that also clips to the brass bar on a grad piano so I can close the lid completly. I know its out there but I can't find it on any of the usualy web sites or searchs for combinations of Grand Piano, Mic, Double Mic Clip..... I've tried every thing I can think of.

Any ideas?

Why are you closing the lid? Seems to me that would cause a lot of proximity effect and bloat the bass.

I've always mic'd pianos with 2 condensers, one over the trademark and one over the bass strings and then left the lid open (or just took it off). We never even put it on the short stick either.

What's you application?
