I'm turning to the talkbass community for some help with this as I know we have a super diverse group and someone will likely point me in the right direction.
There is an 'indi' group, I believe from the UK, that is fronted by a black male vocalist with a really cool voice. They have a mellower feel with some nice grooves...a bit of soul and bit of pop. I wish I had more to go on...but that's about it.

think I was initially introduced to them through someone else here on TB and have a friend that I believe would really enjoy them.
Anyways...it's a shot in the dark, but hopefully someone will come through.
