Need some essential latin cds (need recomends)

I am getting into latin music, and would like to know of some essential albums i need to get. I looked on Descarga.com but there top pics list is 3000 long, i would like to narrow it down to mabey 20 to start. So go ahead and make some recomendations. BTW, if anyone wants an oink invite, ive got a couple. PM me about that.

The two tracks I've heard from Oskar Cartaya's new disc are killer.
Boarders can order it for you if you can't find it.

The reviews of it so far are calling it one of the best latin discs in recient years.

Latin is just too broad a term - are we talking Brazilian,Cuban, Puerto Rican, imported fusions with Jazz - Merengue,Baio etc etc. ?

All latin music, i am into bossa nova and latin jazzy stuff, but i would like to broaden my horizons with all types. I like what i have heard so far, and dont know much about the music.

Like i said, i want to get into the music, and i dont know much about it. Through the process of listening to a variety i will seed out what i like more than the rest, cut me some slack.
