So, recommend me some stuff that's funky and has prominent slap lines.
I need to fill up my Iphone.
I've got lots of Marcus, Primus, Sly and the family stone, Graham central station, stuff like that. So, got that covered.
I don't mind if it's a little jazzy either. |

| | | | Doug Johns, really funky stuff.
What's about Jonas Hellborg - Bass, and Adfa are great records.
Another not to miss album is John Scofields Blue Matter with Gary Grainger on bass.
Another great record with some tasty bass lines is Blufunk is a fact with Keziah Johnes.
And also some older Jamiroquai records have some great funk / slap lines. |

Breakestra - Hit The Floor
Greyboy Allstars - What Happened To Television?
James Brown - Star Time (box set)
Jamiroquai - Synkronized
John Scofield - Bump
The Meters - Funkify Your Life (Anthology)
Tower Of Power - Back To Oakland, In The Slot, Tower Of Power, Urban Renewal
Funkadelic - Let's Take It To The Stage, Standing On The Verge Of Getting It On
That should keep you busy for awhile.

I'm not sure why Tower Of Power, James Brown, The Meters (or Jamiroquai's "Synkronized") would get mentioned for slap though. |

Recent album is called “My friend my family”.
It’s a “slappy/ jazz/funk/” tribute to several of his musician friend like Marcus miller, Joe Sample, George Duke, Wayman Tisdale, etc.
Tons of really really tasty stuff! anything your heart desires - grandad turner - YouTube
