Does anyone know if James Jamerson played bass on Gladys Knight's hit "Neither one of us" if you can, take a listen to the bass line in that song, it caught my ear and i wonder if it is him. I did some minimal resarech on the album and couldnt find any credits for the band. I think he played on some of her stuff.

Bob Lee's JJ discography page mentions Jamerson as the bassist on "Neither one of Us".

However, "Midnight Train to Georgia" was played by Bob Babbitt.

Wow, quite a list. I would count myself lucky if I had played bass on only ONE hit song. He was a super talent and in the right place at the right time.

If you haven't read "Standing in the Shadows of Motown" then you must do so immediately.
