I just scooped up A Tad in the Ocean and Remember The Future on vinyl today- GREAT prog/psych rock! I know that at least for the latter, the bassist is playing a Ric 4001 and sounds great. Can anybody tell me more or reccomend other albums by them? Thanks in advance.

Those two are my favorites by them. They were British ex-patriates living in Germany. Definitely a lot of Rickenbacker action - the guitarist played a double-neck sometimes. The new CD reissues of the albums have a lot of interesting notes about the history of the band - I think they played some shows with Frank Zappa at some point - that would have been quite a concert!

I need to hear more Zappa, really.

But yes, Nektar are incredible, I'm listening to A Tab In The Ocean right now and loving every second.
