Hey everybody,

After laboring for close to year, my band is releasing our first album. It's available on cdbaby as either mp3s or a cd. You can hear all the tracks at our myspace for free right now. Please give a listen, let me know what you think. Thanks!

"Neo-Soul, Hip-Hop, Funk, RnB, Pop - it's all in there. In their first full length album, the Excellent Gentlemen defy genre, successfully digesting influences as diverse as Stevie Wonder, The Roots, D'Angelo, Marvin Gaye and Parliament into a sound that can only be described as Fresh.

Just Say Yes was recorded, mixed, and mastered by Kung Fu Bakery's Dave Friedlander, who has worked with Prince and Pink Martini. The album sounds like a vintage recasting of new soulful music, recalling Jamie Lidell, Raphael Saadiq, and Sharon Jones and the Dap-Kings.

The album is highly sweaty, highly sexy, and very danceable.

Featuring guest vocals by friend Paul Creighton (of Intervision), Just Say Yes is filled with the raw, live R&B grooves that have made Excellent Gentlemen the young group that everybody is watching."
