NEW! Audioslave - Revelations

Sign in to disble this ad
Coming September 5th, audioslave's new album. I'm stoked. I heard the new single "Original Fire" today. I don't think its as good as their past stuff, but its something different at least. Very cool song.

Anyone else stoked for this?

Not really, didn't like their last album and it's sad that the best songs in their sets are RATM and Soundgarden songs.

i hope it'll be better...i've been hearing that single for a while now, and at least i can say it's better than like a stone or i am the highway...however i wish they would just pick a single where they just rock out...it seems like they have tons of potential, but there is just something holding them back...

well, as a fan of RATM and tom and tim, i will still be buying the cd regardless

The lyrics still suck, great music, great singing, but cornell can't write lyrics t save his life. I wish that rage would get back together, but it will never happen.

I havn't heard it, but then, the last album ashed over me. It seemed to come and go so fast, because when people got wind of how naff the songs were, they just seemed to switch off!

That said, I don't think this could be any worse than the last album, but ti seems that the last album somewhat "knocked the wind out of their sails". I feel that not since they made that first album have they really gelled musically. The last album was a wheel-spinner alright. And because of that, it's hard for the next album to get me excited.

Don't really care for the new single. Morello's solo doesn't fit the song at all. Hope the rest of the album is alot better!

Heard about 2/3's of the new tune...I hope it grows on me.

The second album has grown on me a lot, but the debut/first Audioslave album is awesome...landmark!

Seen em' twice live and both times they were awesome.

i only have the first album and i like that

i just heard the new single. the beat at the beginning reminds me of that sly and the family stone song donce to the music. I really like the song though.

cant wait for the album

I just don't agree with you guys. I thought the second album was much better b/c they sounded more like a band. The first album just sounded like Cornell singing over RATM riffs. We'll see how the new one is. i heard the single once. It didn't blow me away, but hard to judge off one listen of one song.

Original Fire? Is that the new track? Yawn, boring, nothing special.

+1 on the non fitting solo

Half of Morello's solos never fit the song...but Timmy C. still is able to take care of the low end extremley well, and with a killer tone. I'm pretty pumped

They've done studies you know, they say 60% of the time, Tom Morellos solos fit every time.

oops.

The first album did not dissapoint as every song sounded like RATM or soundgarden for the most part. The second was initially dissapointing, but the more I listen, the more I like it. And it didn't sound like soundgarden or Rage. I anticipate that the third album will deviate even more from the sound of Rage, which is both good and bad I suppose.

The first album seemed like they were struggling to find out who they were, but still was a decent CD. Thus second album took a sharp turn for the worse--it just seemed like they turned the knob from "11" back down to "1". And Morello's guitar playing seemed very dull to me.,

I for one really liked "Original Fire", though. Not at all like Rage or Soundgarden, but it's alright anyway. And Morello finally throws in a good solo--didn't fir the song all that well, but it's better than anything on Out of Exile.
