New Band...

So here's my new band. We've been together since March. We wrote these songs and played them for GCSU's Battle of the Bands in April. What do you think?

Blind Child

The sound man sucked, but that's about it.

Thanks!

Really? No takers? I'd appreciate some feedback as we're still in the early stages.

Here's our Myspace, if that makes it easier, but it's still underdevelopment, so it doesn't look pretty yet...

You guys have a vintage sound. I love the music, but I need to hear the vocalist in a better setting. I'm not too crazy about him on these. Again, you guys have a great vintage sound. i like it!

Thanks guys.

Yeah, this was during heavy pollen season. I'm not too crazy about our singer on these either, but given the circumstances, I understand. We're pumping out some pretty sweet sounding stuff at the moment, and we're starting to incorporate some slide guitar into the mix as well. I'm looking forward to getting recordings of that stuff.

I guess my biggest beef with these recordings is the sound of the guitar. It's way too this for my taste. It sounded fine in rehearsal, but on stage it was just way too thin. How can we counter that?

Have a mix of him going through the house system.

He was. That's what is confusing me. He sounds great when he's not running through the house, but that one night, his tone was just terrible. Maybe it was a FOH problem...
