So my band recently finished a 5 song demo / EP.

Feedback is more than welcome.
Overall, I'm pleased in that it more or less is an accurate representation of what we're all about (according to our MySpace page, Alternative / Rock / Reggae) but in the end, I wish we had spent our time a little more wisely and not tried various "extra" parts (keyboard, background vox) which never came anywhere near the final cut.
Doing that impacted our time which made the final choices a bit more rushed than they might have been. I, for one, would have liked to have taken a harder listen to my playing and maybe added a few rests hear and there, and I'd have encouraged our drummer (who had been strictly a percussionist up until a month or two before the sessions) to maybe have played it a bit more "straight" in one or two of the numbers.
If learning the value of pre-production is the most we come away with, great. Anything more would be gravy. Maybe I'm just being a perfectionist with it all anyway. After all, it's only Alternative / Rock / Reggae - and I like it...
Apologies for going on and on here - and I know that 5 songs is a lot of information, so truly, any feedback would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers.
