For bass players Between the Buried and Mes "The Parallax: Hypersleep Dialogues" has some amazing bass playing and so does Scale the Summits "The Collective" and Protest the Heros "Scurrilous". There has been a ton of good metal coming out lately but if your not really into stuff that heavy Scale the Summits album still should really be checked out (they don't have a singer, it's just groovy not super heavy metal) and Protest has a lot of singing and isn't your "stereotypical" metal band. |
