Just testing out my new recording equipment and a new song I wrote.

Im looking for some feedback regarding tone, playing skills, song writing skills, basically what can be improved.

Im using my Warwick Vampyre LTD with my Warwick ProTube IX right into my edirol UA25 then into cubase with a little reverb added.

Hey man, the vibrato-ish thing (im not sure whats that) at 1.29/1.30 is great. Its a common articulation device used in traditional Turkish music so that i'm used to it but hearing in a classical kinda piece is cool. Very good recording, very good technique. Why don't you listen to my homegrown stuff @ my myspace and give me some feedback?

By the way, that was so bright to play harmony, that Dominique Dipiazza also would record something in your setup. Cool, I'm impressed.

Another thing, if you play the chords with another rhytmic structure in the second half of the piece it'd help too, but thats just my taste.

The tapped chords sounded a little neck-pickup heavy for the tone. I probably would have just fingered the chords as opposed to tapping them. I think it would have rounded out the sound nicely.

Good stuff though. How do you like the Edirol?

The tapping is fine. He just needs to bring it down a hair in the mix.
Otherwise, well done bro!
If you want a criticism- think out of the box a bit more. You kept the same candence and dynamic thru the whole piece. I would have implemented both compositional as well as technical(re. hands on the bass) tools to breathe more life into the piece. Keep at it. I wanna order a CD when your done.
