A New Demo is ready!(metal content inside)

So we have just finished mixing our new demo and I would like feedback on the overall quality/sound/playing/the music itself etc.
it's extreme metal, and recording the demo, we wanted to avoid common modern metal "gimmicks" such as heavy compression, treble and bass heaviness and the cutting of middle frequencies. Also we wanted the sound to be open instead of a common wall of sound.

Also I used Flatwound strings to further sway away from the "treblecrankedclaketyclank" type of a bass sound often found on many metal/rock records these days. So how do you guys think I managed to operate with that kind of a solution?

I don't see the "extreme Metal" side of it.
Third of Macedon has potential it sounds ok.

Now Ether Dream, that's a train wreck, guitars are out of tune, the singer's clean vocals are terrible. You should think about re-record that song, tune the guitars properly and if you must have clean vocals get someone who can actually sing.

Ok, thanks for the critique(is that how it's spelled? ) I'm glad you liked Third of macedon, but I'm even more pleased that you thought that Ether Dream was a train wreck, as it was meant to be like one! but I don't know about the guitars out of tune tho, the whole point of the song is to be a little sloppy and "out of tune" but I do have a couple of dissonant notes on that song(also on Macedon, but the ones are very subtle), but they were put there always on purpose. plus we know the vocals aren't that good, but after having to kick out our last singer, from the band, we decided to go on with what we have, and he's singing WAY above his natural voice register (he is a Bass) so do think you he should sing the song a little lower?.
