Alright, I know posted a song on here about a month ago, but I've recorded yet another song to assault your ears with. This song is unfortunately titled "Dog Eat Cat", and unlike my previous song I posted on here, it features guitar and programmed drums. It is also a lot heavier and influenced by progressive music. Please tell me what you think, and thank you!

I don't know what I think of this one.

I like your tone on the bass.

I'm not a very big fan of "progressive" music, and this track kind of highlights what I don't find to interesting about progressive music, all these quick changes with no real transitions between parts, it's like a fickle dog deciding if he wants to run around, chew on a toy or drink some water.

That said, it was produced pretty well, the programmed drums clash with the bass and guitar, some of those guitar chords sound programmed too. in fact the whole thing sounds programmed kind of.

Good job though, Just the fact that you are doing this stuff is awesome, keep it up.

The guitar chords aren't programmed, but playing with a programmed drum track makes everything sound very mechanical. The reason for the sudden changes is my musical addention deficit disorder. Thanks for listening and giving me honest feedback!

Some of the parts are really cool, I like the intro bass riff. The part where you have an echo effect on guitar should be dragged out a little bit beofre each chord change, but that's just my opinion.

Thanks for the input, Steve. Are you talking about the softer section where it's just the guitar and then the lead comes in?

The first time it comes up it is about 40 seconds into the song, but I like the part where it goes soft. Maybe you can try it without the echo, I think it makes it seem to rushed with the echo on.

Steve, I think you mean tremelo instead of echo. Again, thank you for the input. And Serene, thanks for listening!

Ibanez BTB 5-string strung E, A, D, G, C...I went direct via a DOD BassTec. I also played with a pick, something I don't usually do.

I wouldn't know. I'd imagine it sounds exactly the same minus the B (or C in my case). BUMP!

As everyone who listened to my Matt and The Monkey Mafia garbage, I like really quick changes. They don't seem aquard to me. I think it's really cool. Everything fits together really well. I like how the parts are layered. Is that mostly in 4/4 because I noticed the main riff was, everything is very sycopated to create an odd feel. Very digable.

Thanks Matt, and your stuff isn't garbage. That's a very creative spelling of "awkward", though.
The song is in 4/4 except for the chorus, which is in 7/8.

Thanks! I'll try to put up new stuff as I write it. Until then, go here. It's some older material, but it's material nonetheless.
