New hardware, test recording

This is the first song I got to record with the new capabilities. It's a hardcore-metal song, not very aggressive, more melodic. No vocals, this is just a proof of concept to my band, trying to convince them I've got the tools to record a very decent demo, if not an acceptable album (mix-wise, at least). I did it a month or so ago, and now it sounds a little dry to me, and I'm thinking of mixing a little more room into the drums and compressing the whole mix a bit more. What do you say?

I think it sounds very good, but I will have to burn it to a cd and run it through my 'system' for a proof-positive test...
