It's great to see that these guys (I don't actually know how many of the earlier members remain) still going. As far as jazz-funk goes, the U.K. is still where it's at. |

The other cut he is on is nice though.

They have been making albums every year - but just recently they have started to get a bit "anonymous"...?
But this latest one is a return to form - although not my favourite - which is still 100 Degrees and Rising!
They are touring quite regularly and I have seen them at close quarters live! Not as tight - but still worth seeing as the older songs are so great!
They always have fantastic bass players though - so always worth a listen!

I'll be picking up the new one ASAP. Always great bass playing on Incognito albums....

I love his recorded tone, and he sounds fine live too. Here he is covering a Rufus and Chaka Khan tune with Incognito: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zZ3ITIYJlpU

After having read some of the posts here about "100% And Rising" I previewed the album on iTunes. I dismissed that album pretty quickly when I first heard it years ago. I think I was hoping for something more along the lines of Tribes, Vibes & Scribes. It sounds a lot better to me now, though. So that's two Incognito albums I'm going to have to go and pick up... |

For the fans : http://www.incognito.org.uk/ | To me that's the song that is the least "Incognito-like" on the album. It doesn't surprise me that it's one of their most popular numbers, though. | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | |
