New Interpol, I hear the bass is gone?...

The first Interpol ablum was very drum and bass driven and you could usually hear the bass well, but I hear on their new album the bass is turned down and along with the drums plays much less a role in the new songs.

Is this ture? I hope not, I was going to go see them live.

I have the new album. It has the same amount of bass as TOBL and Antics. The only difference is that they've slathered on a lot more keyboards so the bass gets kind of lost in the mix. The single, "Heinrich Maneuver", has some pretty heavy bass.
