Hey, this is a video of me recording my latest efforts at contemporary jazz-fusion. A lot of "third stream" influence, as well as some...dare I say...metal? Enjoy!

Very impressive! Even more so since you wrote it and played ALL of the instruments as well. There is another thread about whether anyone creates any original music any more. Well this was certainly proof that some people are not following old cliches and are being genuinely creative.

I knew I would love it from the first note, and you know what? I sure as hell did! I don't think I could explain how much I enjoyed this song. I smiled the whole way through. I'm really, REALLY hoping that this is an album/EP effort because this is definitely a good thing that I can't get enough of. Amazing stuff, man, you've just gotten a new subscriber

Thanks dude, I never thought to release this stuff "officially"...maybe in a little while. For now, though, I'll just keep making these videos. Glad you liked it!

Great stuff - five *'s from me! That tune could easily have been on Wayne's Native Dancer album or another one of those classics with the heavy South American influence.

Funny you say that - although I think of Wayne Shorter as a huge influence on my compositional concept, I've never thought my music sounded "Wayne Shorter"-ish. Thanks, though, that's a huge compliment! The nuance in his treatment of functional harmony is amazing.

Very cool and a very unique approach! Yeah, I could see the Wayne Shorter-eque overtones for certain.

BTW who made your piccolo bass?
