By the way those are not lyrics printed. They are bios of what he wrote and why, who was in the room, where recorded, what year and who was in the room.

That's what I thought, too. But there are always people able to get pre-releases or whatever they're called (promos, etc.)

...sitting here listening to the album (admittedly a few beers deep in a 30 pack of natty ice) and while i am digging the songs, I think the bass is way too quiet!

Compared to the "Valleys of Neptune" CD, the bass probably isn't quite so loud; I agree. I just bought my copy today at Target where they're selling an edition with two bonus tracks. A good deal, IMO. I'm about to give the CD a second listen and then I'll have a better opinion of it. So far, though, I'm liking it. Supposedly, this will be the last unreleased studio "album," and I'm looking forward to some Hendrix concert albums in the future; hopefully, Royal Albert Hall, the Miami concert, etc.
