Aw man, you couldn't find a better video where they didn't mess up the beginning! haha nontheless, it is still a very precarious situation. The song wasn't too bad, not Metallica-ish, but if it was just some other band's music I was listening to, I wouldn't mind it. It's a shame that James' voice is so gone though, he always seems out of breath to me when he sings, and he's looking quite wierd these days. Perhaps boozing it up again.

It's not too bad... at the beginning he said there were no words, so I thought it was an instrumental. I liked it while there were no vocals, but when James came in it sort of ruined the song. The vocal melody is very... uninspired.

I will say that it's good to hear Trujillo doing some nice Cliff-esque stuff. And a refreshing, non-wah solo from Kirk is always welcome. James is simply to damn old to keep up the singing. They should do all-instrumentals or something...

...Or hire Dave Mustaine to give them all a good stiff kick in the ass.

The glory days of Metallica are long gone...

So are the days when their songs were inspiring.

And the days when their songs were inspired by something other than the almighty dollar.

for the first 3 seconds it was cool, you ACTUALLY HEARD ROB!!! then it went to hell lol.

as a band, they are all realy close now, but they should just get off the mainstream and become a jam band in the basement lol. maybe 10 years down the line, release something that sounds half way decent.

This song would be much better with a different vocal melody... maybe they'll change it before they record it.

Hopefully this song will be whiped into shape. It has alot of potential with some cooperation from the band and a good producer.

And believe me, it should and probably will be whipped into shape before it's put onto the album

I'll keep my fingers crossed - but i won't hold my breath for this album

thats was terriible. I mean the song wasnt bad, but it just was so far off from all the metallica i have grown to know and love (kill em all - ...and justice for all. everything after that sucks)

Jame's voice was horrible...

I kinda like it.

The real question, is Papa Het trying to be Scott Ian?

I'm glad I'm not the only one who noticed the similarity. Of course, unlike father time, Ian's beard isn't white.

I was really enjoying it until the vocals. The opening riffs had some promise but then it all went a bit dull.

Cheers,

The beginning riff sounds like the riff from "Crawl" by Damageplan.

Yep, it's no longer 1998 and sadly, Jason ain't coming back...

...despite the fact that St Anger was quite good.

And while we're here, Max, go back to Sepultura!
