New Mudvayne... huh?

Sign in to disble this ad
I was just listening to the first song released off the new mudvayne album on their myspace (http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm...iendid=8637492) and it's ok, good bassline but... Where has all the bottom end gone? I don't know it seems like Ryans low end has been rolled off a bit, same with the guitarist's, it seems so thin. Maybe it just the myspace streaming but I always liked Mudvayne because they where so low and Ryans bass was right there growling like a freaking lion. I think that's a bit lacking in their new song. Foreshadowing of the album? I hope not! What do you think?

ive got pretty good speakers on my cpu...i cranked it and thought the bass sounded pretty good. i love ryans ampeg/warwick growly sound. hes pretty much the reason i play bass so i might be a little biased.the bottem end sounded good when i turned it up. i think they definately ran one bass signal real low, and one real middy to cut through for his lead stuff. just my 2c. i think the bass sounds a hell of alot better on this track than their last album.

I don't really like Mudvayne, but the low end loss could be explained by quality of the file that was put up. Myspace won't take a file larger then a certain size, so sometimes you have to compress them to get them to fit.

Anywho

Peace

I'm not saying I didn't like it, I'm just saying that in comparison to say Silenced and Mercy Severity, where the bass was in your face 10000000%, this seems to have lost that. I dunno, maybe you guys are right about myspace. But none of their other songs uploaded on there lose too much. I dunno, thats just how it sounds to me. Still an interesting song tho!

why? because he uses a warwick thumb.....those things have about as much low end as a 2-inch speaker

myspace aint the best place to do what we do... myspace is for people just to listen to the song itself... they dont care about low end or midrange or any other term that some people may just say wth?....... try you tube or another source.... as musicans or hobbyists.... myspace aint the best place to listen....
