So a little while back I found an old tune written maybe 9-10 years ago. I also just started trying to learn how to use Acid Pro. In addition to that, my group had a gig in a couple days and no rehearsal time. So I decided to try to record a short version of the tune on my own. I'm playing bass and guitar and the drums are programmed.
Also, this is my first upload to soundcloud, so maybe I'll see some of you folks around there too.
If you have any advice about the mix (or comments on the tune or playing), I would appreciate it. I sold my studio monitors years ago, so I am trying to mix using a combo of headphones (not ideal but they have the flattest response out of all of my options) and a number of different units to see if anything is out of balance. I hope to eventually make a group (with me on bass or guitar, not sure which I would choose in an ideal world. Bass is my working instrument though) to do this kind of stuff live.
I think the bass should be brought up a little bit. I had trouble following it. the guitar and drums sound good. It's a catchy piece with a lot of room for soloing.
