The tone is pretty good, especially as it is fitting for this style. I liked the use of comping under the melody, but the voicings for the chords were fairly simple. If that's what you were going for, then cool... I just like to play a few substitutions in Autumn Leaves that most people I know tend to assume as "standard".
Now, I think there were issues with timing/feel. It seemed like sometimes as you'd concentrate on either the comping or the melody, and the other would suffer.
My advice would be to work with a metronome (not so much on this piece, but in general) and with a good drummer when you can for feel.
I haven't got around to recording it, but I've done a few different solo versions of this tune all inspired by Mike Dimin's arrangement. I will post it if I get a chance to put it to disc in the next week or so. |

i'm workin on ornithology...i'll have that recorded too, but i gotta figure out how i'm gonna fit the chords in so it doesn't sound cluttered
