Just got done mixing some tracks for my bands album. Recorded in our practice space in a self-storage building.

FYI, bass is 2006 Jazz Deluxe with 4 year old flats, DI through SansAmp.

Day Job

Thanks for any critiques,

Brian

Love the sound of the old flats! The music is great too. Reminded me of Cake, a bit, but rawer. Good stuff!

Congratulations!

Question: Are you enjoying Bandcamp? I think it looks and works great, but haven't really tried it yet...

Honestly, I just signed up for it last night. I needed somewhere to post the track as a wav file so that the other members of my band could listen to it.

Sounds great... but I'm gonna cut into it a wee bit because I myself enjoy and get more benefit from constructive criticisms. I think it would really benefit by opening it up a little in the different parts. Some simple but hooky walking basslines when you go to the C would make it a lot more colorful and interesting. Song IMO gets a little monotonous as is. And if it were my song I'd have the drummer go off between 1:57. Yeah. I think I'm done. Good luck witht the rest of your album.
