No offense bud...but slapping isn't the only technique that the bass was invented for, there is a reason people use slap sparingly...some of the stuff is cool, but it does lack structure and would serve no real purpose in a song , IMO

But anyway, yeah I do, i'm not exeptionally good at playing with my fingers, I was for a while, but then got introduced to slap and loved/love it for the past year and a half. But since my fingerstyle isnt all that good, lately i've been working on it a lot more, because I realized that even though I slap really fast, I won't be really successful with just slapping, at all. | | | Yeahyeah, the slapping sounds so sloppy, 1. Horrible amp, 2. Messed up EQ's. Yeah, and I need groove , getting there... _-soto-_ |

Other then that keep trying, use moderation as well, dont just zone in on one type of style, learn as much as you can and practice each the same amount. Do so much finger style, so much slap/pop, so much tapping ect. That way you can keep your chops up on all.
I've posted on this thread befor and I'll say it again, keep practicing and keep up the good work, and everything will be all good.
peace

There not too fast (well Teen town is pretty tricky) And they sound great. Like someone said before I think your learning to run before you can walk. Peace
