Hey everyone, I just uploaded some more of my recent(ish) compositions/recordings to my MySpace, it'd be great to know what you guys think of them!

Info on the songs:

The Night Before The Battle - A composition for A/S level music. We were given a brief to write a piece that represented the stage before a battle begins. I went for an episodic prog metal style, just to piss off the classical exam board The only live instrument is the guitar

YYZ (cover) and Easily (cover) - Rush and Chili Peppers. Done for my A/S music technology close-mic recording coursework. I played bass on YYZ, and bass & guitar on Easily. Proud of the beefiness of the F# at the end of YYZ

The Sound (B Block Blues) and Locked Away (ATOM) - recordings 2 of my bands did for a compilation CD that was sold at Guitarfest (UK) and a rock festival we played at. BBB = funk, ATOM = rock

The rest is old stuff you can check out for a laugh. Goldfish = GCSE music composition, Concrete Jungle = Minimalism composition, Gameboy = good ol' 80s GameBoy game stlye song (MIDI ftw!)

James

Hey James!

Out of the 4 you suggested, My favorite was The Sound. Very tasty slapping and grooving!

Next would be Locked Away. Very nice hook and your runs reminded me of Steve Harris (Iron Maiden) and that's a good thing!

Keep thumping!!

Randy
