Greetings -
Well, after spending about as much time as Fleetwood Mac takes to record a song, we finally have the it up...
This is a blues rock sort of tune that started out as just a basic blues minor bass line.
Please, if you have the time, check it out and let us know what you think. http://soundclick.com/share?songid=9190690

Nice work! |

At the "heavy as an upright piano" cut to a few blues lines of guitar then back to a few lines of vocal. .... The vocal is more interesting than the guitar work. .... I'd take the guitar and chow it up so you're only using the best guitar lines. .... The guitar sounds OK but it sounds like he's not sure what to say, so by chopping it up you can have it repeating the stronger lines in different places. |

The track is very entertaining, but could be stronger with a little work. |

To answer the easy question, we're a bunch of guys spread out in TN, OH, IL and CA. We started banging around on the Guitar Nutz 2 forum and we formed a very informal virtual Internet band. We've talked on the phone, but never met face to face.
I agree, the lack, or absence, of "room time" collaboration does lend itself to minimal changes and breaks in the song.
To explain, The bass line and drum tracks are put together and sent out the other guys in the band. Over time they laid in their tracks and sent them back.
Then everything was put back together and the horns were tossed in to spice it up.
The only reason there's a vocal track is the original drum and bass track sent to the lead player was 22 bars short...and in order to keep EZ Drummer from cutting out early I dropped a high hat in a couple of bars out...so the exit vocals were thrown in...
All in all, for a third song, I'm surprised it went over as well as it did.
Thanks again for your kind words and giving us a listen.
Happy Trails
