Cool.

For her to be called the future of jazz has to piss guys like Hadrien Feraud off!! I mean, she's good, but . . . have you heard Hadrien Feraud, Tony Grey, Janek Gwizdala . . . ????

She's quite good.

On a side note: I'm glad to see that its not only in the US that morning show people (along with other talking heads) don't have a clue about what they are talking about most of the time.

Here's a good clip w/Jeff Beck:

It's a TV presenter. They have to make it special. Don't put so much into it.

Very cool.

She writes some really nice tunes and her tone and groove is great.

Way to go Tal!

Jeez man,
It's just Aussie breakfast TV soundbites - if those guys were watching perhaps they choked on their Lucky Charms!!
Go Tal
I showed my 7 yr old daughter the clip and she was glued to it.

That's also what Marcus does (at least when I saw him with his EBS gear). I have a feeling he had some input into Tal's gear choice and the way she runs it.

I feel a bit sorry for her in a way.

She's a fine bassist, plays with lovely feel, nice groove, writes great stuff. Cute as a button etc.

But the 'future of jazz' jeez what a mantle to have to hump around for the rest of her career. Thats just so much hot air I know, but these kind of labels a) stick and b) are detrimental more often than not.

Hope it doesn't cause her any issues as she goes forward...
