So I just got done (sort of) with my maiden voyage into engineering and mixing our metal band, and now I'm looking for some criticism/pointers. Let me know what you think about it.

good stuff man, home recording is never a walk in the park, especially with metal. I have my own tonal preferences but thats really not helpful. I'd like to hear more guitar and bass. I know it's on myspace too which also compromises the quality, but I find something rarely done is working with the spacing. Double the guitar tracks and pan them both wide and double the bass and just pan them about 25% in each direction. That way you get a more stereo guitar sound and a fuller direct bass sound. boosting the low mids will also make things a little fuller.

I really like the band! It's intense, but very groovy! Not a blend that many bands are able to pull off.

and I concur with the above post.

The music isn't really my thing, but there is a universal truth:

grizzly + chainsaws = epic win.

Thanks for the comments guys!
The guitars were already doubled, and I have started to compress the drums, bass, and vocals, which has made a huge difference already.
