Sign in to disble this ad
Hey guys, my band just posted a new song on our myspace. First song with our new singer, and first song with our 8-string guitars, and my 6-string Douglas tuned down to F#. Have a listen!

And here's a youtube video showing the recording process:

Dude, this rules so hard. Terrorhorse blows my mind.

I think my band messaged you guys a while back about playing shows. We're over in Nova Scotia and can't find many bands close by that play similar music. If you guys are available in the near future we should try to work something work. We use eight string guitars, and my six string is set up for F#.

Thanks man! We're hitting the studio in January/February to finish up our full-length, then hitting the road as much as possible! I don't handle the booking, it's mainly Matt that does that, so if you e-mail our booking e-mail (it's on the myspace page) he should get back to you. No promises about what's possible, etc. but if you're ever in Ontario, or we're out there, hopefully we can hook something up!

What's your band called?

Sounds good, dude! Currently we go by John Doe, but we're hoping to change the name by the time the demo is out. We have a few ideas for names, but nothing set in stone.

How's that Douglas play? Is everything stock? I'm using an ESP with an Audere preamp. I'm thinking about getting Villex pickups to go with it.

The Douglas feels surprisingly good, though neck heavy. Sound is really decent for the price, though I'd still like to upgrade the pickups/preamp soon-ish. I'm thinking Nordstrands.
