New tracks: my metal band with our new chick singer! (NOW BASS-HEAVY!)

The link is in my sig, but if you can also click HERE.

I realize it's not the best recording, and you can barely hear the bass, but I still wanna know what everyone thinks. Thanks!

EDIT: I made a new mix with the bass much more audible. Check it out and lemme know what you think.

BTW, I'm playing a ESP LTD D-4 tuned BF#BE, through a BBE Sonic Stomp, into my Firebass head. I used the DI on the head, straight into the mixer.

I actually like the mix. A lot of metal recordings are too lifeless and wimpy. Your singer is good too.

I like it. Thinking the drums could be bigger sounding (could just be good ol' Myspace MP3 compression rearing its ugly head).

Hell yeah...thanks for the comments! I definitely thought "Arch Enemy" the first time I heard Sandee scream when she auditioned.

Awesome songs. I'm not a huge metal fan, but you guys sound tight. Great job.

+1 on the singer. ::

I dig it. Most metal bands that I hear with female singers get into crap I don't like. Long big chords and notes with them singing operatic style, ala Lacuna Coil, Evanescence, etc. I like hearing chicks sing (or scream) over riffs.

Great tunes. Love the Angela Gossow vibes coming from your singer.

I dig it but the recordings are poor. I would love to hear it recorded a little more professionally. Do you guys have a good multi-track?

Thanks for all the compliments again!

Shatterd... that was a totally low-budget, quick-fix recording. $100, basically so we could just have something fresh up with our new singer. I agree that it definitely has lots of room for improvement. We're eventually going to Basement Studios to have Jamie King record us (he did Between the Buried and Me, and a lot of other great bands). We've thought about investing in some decent recording gear, and recording ourselves, but I don't know if we really have the know-how to do it right.
