There really can't be another bassist for that project.
There's this 'sound' that Tribal Tech has and Gary is a BIG part of it.
I couldn't see it any other way.

Personally, I would like a return to the "old-school" vibe of Tribal Tech...when they were as much about 'tribal' as they were about 'tech' (blend of electric instruments with sax & mallets/percussion).

He still plays with Covington, so they obviously get along. | dude lives in spain with his wife. that makes the logistics of tribal tech pretty tough  i think i remember gary saying somewhere they werent really interested in doing an album where they were sending parts back and forth to each other and recording their parts at home. |

He said that he is way too critical of his playing and that finding live tracks good enough to release would be next to impossible.
I sat and watched them that night and the entire performance was worthy of a live disc.
I'd also like to hear Tribal Tech go back to the Illicit or earlier days of more compositions rather than 'live jams'.
