Newer funk with tight, dirty drumming

Sign in to disble this ad
I've been searching for some newer styles of funk to listen to... particularly bands with fast and heavily compressed/overdrived drums which give it a heavy drive, or 'funk with balls' feeling. (be it actual bands or djs)

A few stuff i'm digging:

Breakestra

http://www.myspace.com/breakestra

Speedometer

Skeewiff

Mark Ronson

of course, old school's always welcome.... respect
