Nightingale

I have been developing a project band over that last few months. The idea driving this band is that dads, who are musicians but who also have careers could still get together regularily, develop original material, record and play out on occasion as long as we gave ourselves permission to take our time and not rush things. No pressure, no deadlines, just steady progress. When we have a set and feel good about it, move to the next phase.

Ok - Our set is growing, slowly but surely and we have not played our or recorded (studio-style) yet, but we have been rehearsing regularly (one night a week) - and we record every rehearsal. Last rehearsal we threw a new tune on the hump and gave it a go. What I am posting is the naked, un-polished, raw, first run at this song. But it is such a cool song I really wanted to share and get some feedback!

Without further ado... I give you "Nightingale"
Written by a brilliant songwriter friend of ours named Joe Steinman

Enjoy (I hope!) and feel free to comment!

BTW - we still need a name...
