"nine inch nails live: and all that could have been."

we are proud to announce that nine inch nails' new live release is scheduled to hit stores on tuesday, december 4.

the project will be available in three formats: cd, dvd, and vhs.

the cd, produced by trent, contains sixteen songs performed live during the 2000 fragility v2.0 u.s. tour, and is the first-ever live album from nin.

the cd will also be sold in a deluxe format which includes a very special bonus disc containing select nin songs recorded live in a deconstructed fashion, as well as some brand new material. we will announce the specific details of the bonus disc shortly.

the dvd/vhs, produced by trent with rob sheridan directing, contains eighteen songs which recreate the fragility concert experience from beginning to end, using video footage collected over the course of the entire u.s. tour. the dvd/vhs was shot, edited and produced digitally, using apple hardware and software.

the dvd version will feature 5.1 surround sound and extra features including multiple camera angles, audio commentary, still photos, and more.

the dvd will be available in both dts and dolby digital 5.1 formats.

expect much more information to appear over the coming weeks.

visit nin.com for complete cd/dvd/vhs tracklistings.

I got this from the official newsletter.

p.s. I wasn't sure if this was supposed to go in recordings or not, so I stuck it here.

Decisions! Decisions! Should I use my hard earned money to do some patriotic spending for the NIN DVD or use it to spend patriotically on the new enhanced director's cut "GodFather" DVD box set? I love NIN, but I love the "godFather" movies, too.

Pres. Bush has asked us to strengthen the economy and any spending will be a patriotic act, but it would be a stretch tobuy both NIN and the box set.

This is what I will do. I will wait for that wonderful day when Reznor and NIN come out with all new material. Meantime, I'll get the "GodFather" trilogy.

J.O. , about your Ray Charles sig. I actually met someone who doesn't like music!!! Creepy. music to me is proof of humanity, a sense of empathy, a soul, if you believe that kind of thing. When people say they don't like music it really makes me wonder about them.

well, BACK ON TOPIC (sort of), does anyone know who NIN's touring bassist is? I'm pretty sure that Danny Lohner played most of the bass lines on The Fragile, but I think he plays guitar live.

i've seen pics where trent himself is playing bass live, so i'm sure there are a bunch of tradeoffs.
